About the Event
Beginning January 22 nd through January 28 th , every member of our church is called upon
to participate in our annual church consecration. Our consecration will end with
communion on Sunday, January 28 th . We will set God as our priority as we focus on God
in our hearts and trust totally in God’s word. Psalms 107:2 says, “Let the redeemed of
the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” Our theme
for 2024 is “Go Tell IT!” I pray that as we separate ourselves during consecration, that
we focus on our mission, which is to “Save the Lost and Equip Disciples.” We must
focus our efforts on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by telling the world about our
testimony and that Jesus Saves.
I believe that if you are sincere in your desire to draw close to the Lord, the Holy Ghost
will direct you on things to limit or things from which to abstain. Remember our goal is
to let go of our distractions and reprioritize that time to building our relationships with
God. Don’t spend hours each day on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, texting,
watching television and talking to friends on the phone. Let us devote that time instead to
prayer, forgiveness, reading God’s word and seeking God’s will for our lives.
January 2024 Consecration and Fasting Schedule:
I. Prayer during Consecration:
Prayer is essential because it helps our spirit to be in tune with the Holy Spirit. Prayer
helps the believer to be conscious of God’s indwelling presence. It helps the believer to
yield to the Holy Spirit. When we yield to the Spirit, we will exercise dominion over the
flesh. During consecration everyone is asked to:
Attend CTAC prayer conference calls.
Pray for at least one hour every day.
Attend CTAC services faithfully.
Throughout the week and year pray for:
The salvation of souls in 2024
Strengthening of marital, family and church family relationships
Prosperity spiritually and naturally
Healing spiritually and physically
Spiritual Gifts and Responsibilities
II. Fasting during Consecration [Those under medical care should consult their
physician before choosing either fast option.]
Fasting Option 1 – Participate in the Daniel Fast. See the above information on
Fasting Option 2 – Fast for a total of three days from midnight to 4 p.m. and abstain
from all food and beverages during those hours.
III. Personal Sacrifice – Each member of CTAC is asked to identify something to
sacrifice and abstain from that thing during the consecration.
I strongly believe that if we as a congregation commit ourselves to a period of
consecration – set apart to God – and shun those things that so easily distract us from
strengthening our relationship with Christ; we will see a great move of God and souls
added to the Kingdom like we never have before. If we take this opportunity to “lay aside
every weight” I believe we will see the promises of God, blessings and miracles coming
to pass. Let God have his way and “Go Tell It” in 2024 and claim every soul that
belongs to God in this New Year.
